The latest piece of dizzying experimental pop from Robbie & Mona is their new single, ‘Tina’s Leather’. It’s an interesting piece that builds gradually from its reverb-soaked opening moments into a lilting, densely textured saxophone solo. The sound the pair have achieved with this one is truly unique; like an atmospheric, ethereal dream. On the music video that has been released to accompany the track, they explain: “The protagonist is a ghost, remembering her death where she jumped out a window during a holiday in Greece.” Their new album, Tusky, is being released on March 10th, 2023.
